An African president spends a critical day inside his official residence as pressure grows around a proposed agreement concerning his country’s natural resources.
European powers and their allies seek continued access. Asian interests present an alternative. Members of his government warn him about the economic and political consequences of resisting either side.
Unable to make his decision, the president is forced to confront a deeper question: will he preserve the system that protects his position, or risk everything to reclaim the nation’s wealth for its people?
The story is primarily dialogue-driven and takes place inside the presidential residence.
